Since the 1990s, Greenwood’s population has grown by about ten percent. In addition to thousands of new residents, our town has welcomed several new companies, providing jobs and economic growth.
Greenwood, SC is Conveniently Located
We love the neighborly feel of our small town; however, when residents are required to conduct business in one of the larger area cities, they find Greenwood is conveniently, centrally located between several major municipalities. Greenville, Augusta, Charlotte, and Columbia are all within an hour and a half from uptown Greenwood. Asheville, Charleston, and Atlanta are all two to three hours away.

Greenwood’s burgeoning arts scene centers around the area of town known as the Emerald Triangle.
